A hot pink tourmaline is sitting pretty in this striking 18k gold cocktail ring. The .90ct pear-cut tourmaline is displayed in a four-prong basket. Six round diamonds are prong-set in clusters of three on each of the ring's shoulders. The diamonds have a .30tcw; their bright sparkle emphasizes the tourmaline's rich color. The stones are raised in an airy gallery above a flat band that splits and flares, then tapers back into a flat shank. 1980s glamour was informed by 1940s Retro design; this ring is a fabulous example of the trend.
